Each month we aim post up here a copy of the Fishery Committee report so that you can get a summary view of the news from around our fisheries.

FISHERIES REPORT

29th January 2018

Great Ouse
No fishing reports as river has been flooded. Radwell cut off for a time. Work party organised for 15th April.

Leasey Bridge
Fishing slow but water flows are good and plenty of colour in the water. Roach to 2lb reported from river. Backwater very slow. Tree ‘pruning’ to be underway within a few weeks.

Marford farm
Fishing reasonable on both stretches with all species showing with barbel to double figures. Work party planned for 17th March for tree works on long and short walks.

Moor Mill
Water level now improved. Fishing well with tench to 6lb from school pit and carp to 28lb reported from Islands lake. Plans underway to start work on the river Ver stretch below Hyde Lane.

Smallford
Few rods on water and few fish reported. Fishing currently very hard. Work party organised f9or 18th March.

Frogmore
Water levels are excellent and fishing has been slow but roach showing reasonably well around particular pegs. Match results still good.

Riverside Road
Fishing has been slow but improved over the last few days. Work party organised for 5th February in preparation of the trout season. 300lb’s of 5” to 1lb roach stocked average 7”-8”.

Bellows Mill
Mill lake - Plenty of tench reported plus perch to 3lb 2oz. Lure fishing remains good for perch. 300lbs of 5” to 1lb roach stocked average 7”-8”. Pike reported from the river to 8lb.  Work party organised for 25th March.

Troy Lake
No fishing report.

Fishers Green
No report

Towpath Fisheries
Some good chub and roach reported. Fields Weir reported chub to 6lb and barbel to 13lb.

Turnford
Fishing slow with nothing to report.

Ivel PA.
Reasonable roach fishing reported with roach to 2lb.

Timberland Fisheries
No report

Lysander Park Fisheries.
No report. Roach stocked into Lysander Lake.
